Have translated Italian, French, Portuguese, and Spanish into English for a a variety of museums and magazine publications. Speciality is in art and art history.

Economist and researcher, with M.Sc. in Microeconomics and graduate studies in Portuguese and Translation from Ohio State University. Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellow. Former adjunct professor of economics in São Paulo, Brazil, and consultant to multinational corporations with offices in Latin America for nearly 10 years. Bachelor degrees in Spanish/Political Science from Indiana University, with intensive language study in Madrid, Spain.

I am a Portuguese and Spanish to English translator and I hold a Ph.D. in Communication – as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the same field – and work professionally with translations. As a translator, I translate documents and audio files from Portuguese and Spanish to English. I possess fluency in both languages (in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension), skills which are bolstered by the past five years in which I have lived in the cities of Barcelona, Spain, and Porto Alegre, Brazil. In this period, I also made several trips as a researcher and traveler throughout the different countries of Latin America. These experiences, together with my academic formation, have contributed to my understanding of the variety of dialects, accents, and customs that shape the linguistic content of these (and all) languages. Moreover, my fluency in Spanish and Portuguese is certified by the Universitat de Barcelona in Barcelona, and by the Viva Brasil language school in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
