How long does the application process take?
Most applications are reviewed within 3–5 business days. Once approved, you can start receiving project invitations immediately.
Do I need to be certified?
Certification is preferred but not always required. We evaluate each applicant based on experience, education, and test results. Court interpreters must hold relevant state or federal certification.
How and when do I get paid?
We offer competitive per-word and per-hour rates with reliable payment cycles. Payments are processed on a regular schedule via direct deposit or wire transfer.
Can I work on my own schedule?
Absolutely. As a freelance linguist, you choose which projects to accept and when to work. On-demand interpretation may require availability during specific hours.
What tools do I need?
For translation, proficiency with CAT tools (SDL Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast) is preferred. For interpretation, you’ll need a reliable internet connection, quiet workspace, and a headset for remote assignments.
