I am very pleased to present myself to you. My name is Daniella and I have been actively translating and interpreting from/into Bulgarian/English as a professional for over 17 years (since 1993). All my other jobs were based on excellent English understanding and speaking. I am confident with consecutive, simultaneous interpreting and written translating. I have a Master Degree in English Philology and a Bachelor in Public Relations.

I have experience in the area in education, energy (nuclear and solar energy), accounting, science, idioms and conversations.

I have over 25 years of experience as a Russian interpreter and translator. I have worked with a large variety of terminology and in various settings. I am a contract translator and interpreter with the U.S. State Department and a Registered Court Interpreter in California. I hold an MA degree in English Philology with specialization in translation and interpreting from St. Kliment Ohridski of Sofia, Bulgaria and an MBA with concentration in finance from California State University at Northridge, CA, an accredited graduate MBA program.

I am seeking opportunities to employ my proficiency in Bulgarian and English languages for bi-directional translation of documents or for simultaneous interpretation. I was born and received my education, including my PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in Bulgaria. Therefore, I consider my Bulgarian language skills excellent. Also in Bulgaria I received my initial training in English for reading and writing of science publications, reading novels and entertainment journals, for oral presentations of research findings at international science conferences, and for adequate communication with other English-speaking counterparts. Over 16 years now I have been living and working in the USA, and have been excelling my English language skills to the level where reciprocal translation between English and Bulgarian has become an effortless, precise and fluent act. My professional career is in the field of biochemistry, biology, medicine, pharmaceuticals and toxicology, and these are my preferred areas for translation or interpretation. There are also other areas in which my terminology is also very strong and I would appreciate the opportunities to discuss them with you.

I am native Bulgarian and I have lived in the United States for about five years. I am experienced in everyday communication as well as quite sophisticated and theoretical language due to my MA degree at NYU. I have ample vocabulary (high GRE score). I am very attentive to detail and I take translation work very seriously. I am experienced mainly it translating films, film related materials such as synopsis, treatment, etc., reviews and academic articles. Last, but not least I have many friends who are professional translators. We discuss linguistic issues a lot and help each other.

I have a degree in Linguistics from the University of California Berkeley and I am a native speaker of Bulgarian and a fluent speaker in English.
