I can handle any type of translation work from the aforementioned languages. I have extensive experience with government contractors, my strength entail understandind nuances of various languages, namely dialects of the Middle East, as an Arabic Translation of a particular text, for example, may includes dialects as well, and in order to be able to translate the text, one should have the skills, the knowledge and the experience of dealing with such a situation. I definitely have that experience.

I come from a multi-cultural country (Lebanon), where East meets West, and where I grew up communicating (in writing and in speech)in English and French alongside with Arabic - my native language. I consider myself very fortunate to be endowed with the ability to work with all three languages with almost the same level of fluency. Recently, Spanish caught my attention and I took a 2-year one-on-one Spanish class, from which I graduated straight into Spanish > English translation.

For the past 4 years I have worked as an Arabic linguist in the U.S. Air Force. My job consisted primarily of translating and analyzing classified intelligence, while simultaneously enhancing my Arabic skills as a linguist. My career began at the Defense Language Institute (DLI) in Monterey, CA, where I graduated in 2005 after 63 weeks of intense Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) training. My studies began with the most basic elements of Arabic, such as the alphabet, simple words, phrases, and greetings. I have a comprehension of the elements of grammar, sentence structure, as well as vocabulary ranging through all topics including politics, entertainment, science, sports, and military. Eventually, I was trained to a level where I could read Arabic newspapers, watch and translate Arabic news programs and television, as well as carry on a conversation with a native Arab speaker. Comparatively, my 63 weeks of training was more intense than one would receive learning the language through four years of college. Upon graduation, I was in the top 15% of scores on the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) with a 3/3/2 (reading/listening/speaking respectively). Since my graduation from DLI, I have specialized in military intelligence under the supervision of the National Security Agency (NSA). My experience includes training and operations in Iraqi dialect although most of my training has been in MSA. I have taken condensed MSA classes annually to maintain my accomplished level of Arabic, as well as passed and exceeded the average score on the DLPT every year. My current score for the DLPT 5, the newest version of the test, is 2+/3 (reading/listening). This score is among the top 10% of all linguists who have taken the test.

Tradiksyon nan Anglè nan Arab ak Arab nan Anglè.
After I got my diploma in teaching English as a second language in 1987, I started my career in teaching and translating until this very day .Between 1986-2001, along with my job as a teacher I also worked as a receptionist in a five-star hotel where I met with people speaking English and Arabic from all over the World. That enhanced my love of languages and triggered my linguistic curiosity to make language learning, teaching and translating my passion in life.
In 1991, I graduated from Jordan University where I earned my baccalaureate degree in English Literature and Linguistics to go back to my job as a teacher for the Ministry of Education in Jordan.
In 2001, I graduated from Jordan University where I earned my masters degree in English/ Arabic translation which qualifies me to teach both languages and translate between them. I also taught there as a student and after graduation. They selected the best graduate students to teach there.
Currently, I am working for St.George Melkite Church in Sacramento, California as a translator, interpreter and teacher of English and Arabic. This church immigrated to America almost 150 years ago from the Holy Land and most of our parishioners come from the Middle East and the Arab World .There is a need to use both languages.
My strengths include being able to work well with a variety of personalities, to converse with anyone, and to enter easily into new situations with a creative and resourceful attitude. In addition, I am very detail oriented, persistent, and punctual and a team player. I also have a great understanding and a long experience dealing with diverse student groups, including but not limited to diversity relating to academic preparation, socioeconomic level, age, religion, ethnicity and culture, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability.

As an Arabic to English interpreter and translator with 15 years of experience performing various types of interpretation and translation. My professional background includes performing interpretation, translation and administrative work with international non-governmental organizations, government agencies and companies. You will also note my Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature.
I have conducted translation work on a wide spectrum of material, including: commercial, B.O.Q.s and tenders, legal, NGO procedures and political and medical translations and interpretation. Currently, I work as an interpreter with Colorado Language Connection and The Interpreter Network in Colorado (The Spring Institute). I mainly conduct consecutive interpretation between Arabic-speaking refugees and medical providers during medical screenings. My work allows me to assist refugees fleeing war by helping them get diagnosed and treated properly for their ailments, most of which are psychological illnesses such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. While performing my interpretation work, I take into consideration cultural differences and boundaries during house calls with social workers to visit clients— about 98% of the clients are Iraqi and Syrian refugees.
Prior to this, I was an Interpreter and Translator with Iraqi Council of Representatives (the Iraqi Parliament) in Baghdad from 2010 until 2014. I conducted simultaneous interpretation at local and international conferences, like the Kirkuk Agreement, along with numerous consecutive interpretations for bilateral political meetings between Iraqi MPs and foreign politicians. For instance, during a political delegation to the Philippines in October 2012, mutual meetings took place between the Iraqi side and the Philippine government, and I performed consecutive interpretation for the Philippine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Vice President himself.
I have translated countless documents and contracts including political, legal, scientific, and commercial documents. For example, I translated the Power Plant Construction contract in 2011, and new laws to be enacted and voted for at the Iraqi Parliament-level. I worked with foreign soccer coach contracts for the Iraqi National Soccer Team, along with numerous press articles and research, and ID documentation.
