For this purpose, I always read related material and learn the basics and some of the details about the subjects I am dealing with. In my work I always try to strike a balance between faithfulness to the source text and readability in the target language.

I am an experienced Japanese interpreter looking for either an interpreting telecommuting job or a document translation job. I am an independent Japanese language verbal interpreter and written translator based in San Francisco, California. I was born in Japan but moved to S.F. when I was three years old. I am particulary strong in business negotiations between Japanese and English speakings clients on TV, film deals, tradeshows and various other entertainment fields. I have been working on translations with LA and NY based publishers for a while now. During my career, I have professionally translated scripts, contracts and agreements, comic books, and documents from English into Japanese and vice versa.

Having worked for US based internet companies for decades as an executive in strategy and marketing, I am proficient in Japanese to English or English to Japanese interpretation.
