Azerbaijani Translators in Rhode Island

By profession, I am a Certified Public Accountant, but I also work part time with several agencies by providing them with translation services. For instance, my assignment with a language assessment company includes designing reading and listening to tests in Azerbaijani (or Azeri) for examinees. I also work on the Teaching of Foreign Languages by conducting oral proficiency tests in Azeri. I hold ILR language tester certification. In addition, I also work with the Law Clinics by translating various documents from Azeri to English and from English to Azeri. My strong writing and oral proficiency of Azeri have also attracted the attention of Azeri media and foreign media airing its programs in Azeri. I occasionally give interviews to various radio and TV stations as well as newspapers in Azeri and also write short articles for various Internet forums and also local newspapers based in Azerbaijan. I am also a very active community leader who is frequently involved in various cultural events and political campaigns. I am a regional vice president for the Azerbaijani Society of America by representing this organization in Washington DC area. I work for the Federal government and I am a U.S. citizen. In the past, I have held secret security clearance, but I am not sure if it is still active.

Translation and Language testing.

I have previously done translations from English to Azerbaijani/Russian/Turkish and vice-versa. My recent translation work has been translation of an audio interview file into English. I have also done translations of movie scripts and other materials upon request by the agencies in the past.

I am first and foremost an academician with Ph.D.s in History and Political Science, specializing in the Middle East. I teach at college and university (undergraduate) levels (for some 15 years now). I have worked as a journalist for more than 2 decades. I have done freelance translation since 1980 in Armenian, Arabic, and Turkish. I also do research in Classical Armenian and Ottoman Turkish. I am also a California Certified Real Estate Broker and a Certified Notary Signing Agent. For the past 5 years I have been involved in many translation/linguistic projects for the USA Federal Government in Washington DC and Overseas.

I am a native Azerbaijani speaker providing simultaneous interpretation and consecutive translation services in Azerbaijani into English, English into Azerbaijani, Turkish into English, Russian into English. I am located in Reading, Pennsylvania. I have been providing Azerbaijani interpretation services in Energy/Environment, Social Sciences, Legal and Telecommunication spheres for 10 years. I have BA in English and a Teacher's Certificate and Degree of a teacher of social and political sciences. I have worked as a translator and interpreter for Exxon Mobil and other companies. I have been in Reading, PA for 6 years.

I have a one year work experience in consecutive, simultaneous interpretation and translation in a US firm. Besides, I am an auditor, currently taking CPA exams to become qualified accountant/auditor.

I have an extensive international background, lived, worked and studied in 3 different countries. I have started my career at the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan in 2008 as an administrative assistant. There I was involved in translations and interpretations during the meetings(Azerbaijani-English). In 2011-12 I worked as a social worker in the UK. During my stay in UK I worked closely with Russian speaking students helping them with integration, as well well teaching English to them. I also taught Russian to the Latvian students in the UK, and did both translations and interpretations for the organization I worked for (Eccles Hall School and Norfolk International Projects). I graduated from the Azerbaijan State Economic University(2005-09), and was an exchange student for one year at the California State University, Bakersfield (2007-08). Currently, I am a graduate student at the Golden Gate University, SF, majoring in Marketing and PR.

I am a DoS-certified Russian interpreter. By Profession I am a lawyer, however I have been providing Translator services in the Energy/Environment, Legal, Social Sciences and Telecommunications fields for more than 10 years.
