I am bilingual in English and Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian therefore it's always hard for me to answer the question, which is my native language. I could say that my mother tongue is English and my native language is Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian.

My experience includes serving as Deputy Chief for the Language Services Department of the NATO mission in the Balkans, revising and editing the work of translators, and several years of freelance translating. I hold a BA degree from UCLA and a Master's degree from USC.
I have been in this line of work for almost twenty years. I have had great clients - both in the private sector and on the side of the government. I am on the roster of contract interpreters with the Department of State, for BCS (Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian). I also love to do translations, and have, for example, enjoyed very much my work as a reviewer for the Croatian Edition of the National Geographic Magazine.

Before I came to the USA my major was English language and literature.
I have been translating and interpreting in various fields for almost a decade now. Having lived in all three countries whose languages I speak proficiently, I feel that I can easily overcome all cultural barriers that might seem challenging in translating or interpreting.
I translate documents from Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin and Serbian languages into English, and vice versa.
My translation experience covers the following fields: legal, business, marketing, financial, education, health care, medicine, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, clinical trials, technical IFUs.
I use Trados Studio and other CAT tools.
My mother tongue is Serbian (born Yugoslavian) and I have fluently spoken Serbo-Croatian since the early 1980\\'s. I then learned Arabic while growing up in the middle-east from 1984-1999, and also learned French from 1995-1997.
I have been a professional linguist since 1994. My work involved interpreting, translating, editing, proofreading, transcribing and producing voice-over material in the Balkan languages: Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin and Serbian. I am a native of Serbia with M.A. in English language and literature. Languages are my dream job, not just a hobby. I translate from Serbian to English and vice versa. My last big project was a book translation for a famous Serbian author.
I speak, read and write above languages, Serbian, both alphabets, Cyrillic and Latin. My background: retired accountant/auditor. Gained my experience through working in different fields. In the last six years I have interpreted cases in the Superior Courts, Municipal Courts, US District Courts, Industrial Commission, Social Security Disability, Medical/Behavioral Clinics, Attorney\\'s Offices, Depositions, Child Protective Agencies, Hospitals, etc. I have worked in Australia as well as the US, total experience approximately 15 years.
I have a Bachelor\'s Degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. I am also a professional court translator and interpreter, specialized in the areas noted above. I have been doing interpreting in the State of Connecticut, mostly in courts, at the depositions, and hospitals, but now I am doing more written translations, due to the fact that I will not be able to travel in order to interpret.
Having an education in Pharmacy, Business and Chemistry makes me a great candidate to interpret in hospitals, courts and schools. My work experience has been working in school, hospital and research companies, and therefore I have great communication skills with different subject knowledge which helps with interpreting and translating.

I have a passion and a talent for learning foreign languages and I have used my talent continuously at my previous jobs to translate/interpret for the upper management in negotiating business deals on a global scale.
