I am a native Turkish speaker, residing in New York. My translation experience includes: - Translating documents, press releases, articles, speeches and business related documents for New York based non-profits, Permanent Mission of Turkey to United Nations, Secretariat General for EU Affairs in Turkey, international magazines and companies. - Working as a simultaneous translator for a New York based non-profit

Attend early intervention and CPSE/CSE Program meetings for interpretation to parents where psychologists, special educators, speech pathologists, physical or occupational therapists are at times present with the school superintendent. Provide translation or interpretation of instructions, questions and responses during the evaluation and give correct interpretation of the child's responses. Assist students with translation or interpretation needs during NY State exams and High School Regents exams.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Neslihan Torgut and I am a college graduate. I have lived in the United States for the past 18 years therefore I am considered a native speaker. In addition I am perfectly capable of understanding, speaking, reading and writing in Turkish and English.

I have been interpreting/translating since 1978. Areas of translation are legal, education, some medical, some social sciences.

Having excellent command of my mother tongue helps me use foreign languages with the same attention. I read and write a lot in Turkish, English and French, especially on issues of social sciences. I believe that my skills of converting words from language to language, as well as having the knowledge of particularities of different languages make me a strong candidate for freelance translation. Knowledge of French gives me a large vocabulary in English. I am good at translations from German to Turkish I also had the opportunity to work as a linguist in different work areas.

I have done translations for a company called Cag Ceviri in Turkey. My texts were usually industrial regulations, agreements, websites etc. I also did legal translations (law case verdicts). Although the majority of my documents were from English to Turkish and vice versa, I have done French to Turkish and vice versa as well. I wrote two theses in French in social sciences.

I have started learning English as I have started learning Turkish, which is my native language. When I was 10, I got accepted to Koc School, which is a school in Turkey that provides education in English in all courses other than Turkish Literature and Turkish History. Now I am completing my double major degree in History&International Relations and since I want to pursue a career in translation.

I have a one year work experience in consecutive, simultaneous interpretation and translation in a US firm. Besides, I am an auditor, currently taking CPA exams to become qualified accountant/auditor.

Native speaker of Turkish, fluent in French (gave private lessons for 10+ years as well) and at ease with simultaneous translations.

I have experience in translations of garduation thesis in chemical, engineering, and psychology. During the time I work for 17th Notary of Ankara I translated notary documents whıch are mostly about law. I also have experience in translations of visa documents because I worked for a consultation company. I am also a freelance subtitle tarnslator of tv series.

I can work with you with full potential and I have the confidence to hand in the work punctually and without mistakes. Translation and interpretation have always been my passion and I have developed myself in this area with my studies.

My native language is Turkish and I have been using English for more than fifteen years. I am a PhD student studying physics, namely biophysics and structural biology.

I've recently completed a book translation from English into Turkish. I also made many technical & business translations in my work, in automotive sector, which included translations from French into Turkish, English into French, English into Turkish, Turkish into English and French. I also speak intermediate Spanish and German.

In addition to being bilingual, I have lived in both Turkey and USA extensively and have an intimate understanding of cultural references for both.
