I am a professional translator/interpreter with more than 20 years of experience in various fields.

Master's Degree in Linguistics with a specialty in Slavic Languages from a highly ranked University in Moscow, Russia. Because of my near-native English ability and experience within American culture, I am able to provide a native-level translation and interpretation in both Russian and English. Professional translations of numerous documents and educational materials into Russian and English including two books.

I have been working as a Czech translator and editor for over ten years. I have worked on projects ranging from literary works to academic articles to divorce decisions. I pride myself on producing accurate translations that read as if they were originally written in English. I specialize in the arts and humanities, travel/tourism, law, and official documents.

Since I began my career as a freelance translator in 2002, I have not had a single dissatisfied customer. In the past few years I have worked for a number of clients in Russia, the USA, and Europe. Before I joined the community of freelancers I worked for about seven years in well-known international companies such as Nestle and Japan Tobacco International. One of my major responsibilities there was translating contracts, business and financial reports, presentations, and other company documentation. Through these jobs I have acquired valuable experience and an understanding of the business world which helps me a great deal in my current occupation. I take great pride in what I do which means that every translation or proofreading assignment is treated with the utmost attention. If, in any of the texts, I come across a new notion, or something I haven't heard or seen before, I'll research the subject further until I find a satisfying answer, for I understand how important our work is to our clients and we are not at liberty to translate a particular term without understanding what it really stands for.
