I am a Registered Court Interpreter. My native language is Greek. I received my B.A., with a double major, in English and Greek Language and Literature from the University of Athens, Greece, and a M.A. in Modern History from the University of Minnesota. I have been teaching Greek to English speakers and vice versa, in a span of two decades. I am starting my career in Court Interpreting and have, in the past months, interpreted legal documents in California and out of state. I am a strong academic linguist that considers learning a life-long experience, and takes work assignments very seriously.
I have been speaking the Greek language since a boy and have been intensely studying it for 12+ years. I can speak, read, write, translate and dictate Greek like a pro. I also have recognition from the Greek Consulate in Los Angeles, CA to teach Greek in our Greek Orthodox parishes' Greek schools.
I am billingual in Greek and English and maintain proficiency levels in Spanish and French. I have been working with languages since 2008. I started my carreer as a magazine and a website article writer, publishing news reports, interviews and opinion pieces both in Greek and in English. At the same period, my studies in the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Media in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, provided me with the opportunity to take classes in Greek, English and French. Furthermore, for the past 7 years I have been running my own Language School and working as an English teacher to both young and adult learners.
I have combined higher education in technical and linguistic fields, making me an ideal translator for technical documents. Client's enjoy working with me and I always deliver on time. I am the preferred translator for many high-end companies.
