I studied English linguistics in University and fell in love with how languages work. I am bilingual (Spanish/Catalan) and ever since I started working as a teacher I developed a profound love towards teaching and working with the languages I know. I have translated some web sites, helped in the translation of a book along with many other small projects such as voice-overs, interpreting, etc.

I have been working as a Catalan and Spanish translator and Foreign Language Teacher specializing in teaching English For Specific Purposes, with professional students from different sectors such as Industrial Design, Law and Psychology. My business relationship with an industrial designer from my hometown has lead to gaining expertise in different fields such as teaching, account management and translation. Before that I used to be a translation project manager, proofreader and occassional translator for a language services provider in Valencia, Spain, where I dealt with texts from very different fields: Sworn translations, technical documents, EU logistics projects, art gallery catalogs.

I am certified as Spanish Interpreter by the Judicial Council of the Supreme Court. I have native command of both Spanish and U.S. English. I am specialized in business, medical and legal translation and interpretation.

I consider myself a reliable professional, I take my job very seriously always taking into account the global project. As I have been involved in management roles in the past, I know how important is every task within a translation project and the importance of meeting deadlines and milestones. I also enjoy playing with words and do my best not to leave any issue unninvestigated. In a time where quality is not always preferred over prize, I still think we need to take care of what our users receive, the quality of the localised text is of major importance to me.
