I am certified by the state of California as court interpreter and translator, Russian and Armenian languages. Court experience: 15 years. Law degree. Have worked with business and legal delegations and various groups as conference interpreter throughout the world. Extensive experience in simultaneous interpretation, transcribing and translation of audio materials.

Born in Iraq. Armenian parents. Education in Arabic and English. Bachelors degree in Economics and political science.

I am first and foremost an academician with Ph.D.s in History and Political Science, specializing in the Middle East. I teach at college and university (undergraduate) levels (for some 15 years now). I have worked as a journalist for more than 2 decades. I have done freelance translation since 1980 in Armenian, Arabic, and Turkish. I also do research in Classical Armenian and Ottoman Turkish. I am also a California Certified Real Estate Broker and a Certified Notary Signing Agent. For the past 5 years I have been involved in many translation/linguistic projects for the USA Federal Government in Washington DC and Overseas.

I have been working as a professional Russian interpreter for 5 years. I have experience in various areas of interpretation over the phone, such as banks, medical insurance, auto insurance, 911 emergency hotline, medical clinics.
