Portuguese Translators in Illinois

I am a professional French to English translator and have been working in the industry for eight years. I'm a certified MemoQ Trainer and also work SDL Studio 2014. I work in conjunction with an editor who has three years in translation. I specialize in Information Technology and Legal translation but can also translate medical documents. I am an Active member of the American Translators Association and the Midwest Association of Translators and Interpreters.

I am a physician and will be switching jobs in the near future. However, being from Brazil and fluent in German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and English, I thought I could provide efficient services to any company in need as a freelance linguist during my time off.

My degree in International Business and Political Science has provided me with the knowledge necessary to complement my English-Portuguese language pairing abilities. In addition, my time spent living and working in both the United States and Brazil equips me with the necessary tools to identify the cultural subtleties and nuances in order to provide a quality translation.

I am fully fluent in 4 languages, however I translate exclusively into English. A comprehensive familiarity with my source languages parallels my proximity with their respective cultures and gives me a solid base which, combined with my target language skills, writing talent, creativity, and technical know-how, provide me with the necessary tools and scope to provide reliable translates, be it within my specializations or in a more general sphere.
