Despite the fact that Hebrew is my second language, I am mostly proficient in it. I do not have actual professional background as a translator. However, due to my knowledge of several languages, I have always been the unofficial translator among people from varied countries. I am very passionate about languages and would like to make it into a future profession.

Started my working career in the 8th grade, on construction, during summer holidays. During my bachelor\'s degree studies I engaged in various tasks: librarian, language laboratories tech, local paper news reporter and finally a foreign student\'s exchange plan coordinator and counselor (1972-1973). None of these relatively short careers is mentioned in my resume. Although I never served in the US military, I did serve in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) 1965-1968 (as a medic in an infantry unit). My life thereafter can be divided into two major careers: law enforcement and counterterrorism (27 years ending in 1998), and with several years overlapping: a career as a holistic pain therapist, which I still am today, although on a part time basis only.
I am a native speaker of Hebrew and have a tested professional fluency in English. Linguistics is not just my profession but my passion and an integral part my daily activities. I keep abreast of linguistics developments and current events to assure the final product is linguistically, culturally, and socially appropriate.

I have worked as a simultaneous, consecutive, conference interpreter for about 30 years. My languages are Hebrew and Polish at native levels, Yiddish, somewhat lower. I also translate texts and transcribe recorded conversations and wiretaps.
