I was born in Italy and lived there for 20 years. My mother was born in Detroit MI, and she spoke to me in English my whole life, effectively making me bilingual and increasing my knowledge of the language to the point of allowing me to come to the United States where I've been living for the past three years and attend College. Before moving to the United States, I worked in Italy for two years in a real estate agency, translating housing contracts for international clients.
