Several years of corporate sales and marketing experience in Italy and the US with multinational corporation and in house translation agency work have given me hands on expertise. My name is Audra and I am an Italian to English translator. I am an American born native English speaker with 12 years of industry experience. Full proficiency in Italian as a result of cultural background, dual citizenship and having lived, worked and studied in Italy. Working professional capacity in both Spanish and French, both languages which I also deeply adore.

I interpret between Italian, Spanish, Catalan, or French and English in consecutive mode across on-site, telephone, and video-remote settings. My translation work moves documents from these same source languages into English with a focus on business, finance, legal matters, energy and environment, marketing, and social sciences. My background includes mediating high-stakes technology licensing negotiations and conducting channel-check research for investment funds across European markets. I have translated annual reports for major industrial firms and rendered complex legal documents such as loan contracts and licensing agreements. Earlier work involved compiling and translating refugee case histories for asylum petitions, requiring precise handling of sensitive personal narratives alongside strict legal terminology.

Literary background, Masters from UCLA in Italian Lg and lit. Constantly in touch with both Hungarian and English as the editor of a Hungarian newspaper in L.A. I am good with poetry and lyrics. Love to take a challenge any time.

I graduated in Medicine from the University of Athens, Greece (1992) and undertook my specialist training (salaried) at the Dept. of Radiation Therapy and Oncology, S.Sabbasa Hospital, Athens, Greece (1992-1997). After specialization I worked as Registrar at the same Department (1998-1999). Co-author of three teaching books on Laser Applications. Author or co-author of many scientific articles in International Journals (INDEX MEDICUS-MEDLINE). I also hold a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English, a Diplome d'Etudes Superieures. Institut Francais d'Athenes, and an MA in translation, University of the West of England. I have been working as a freelance translator, editor and terminologist since 2000. Fields of expertise: Medical translation (biomedical, IVD, medical instruments, software, anesthetic devices, cytometry devices, hematology devices, catheters, orthopedic implants, ophthalmic surgery, medical inserts, manuals, brochures, questionnaires, and articles), Pharmaceutical protocols, EMEA compliance, Dental, Veterinary, Scientific, Legal, Marketing, and Technical texts.

I am graduated in Business Administration with majors in Finance and Marketing. I have been for 3 years a court interpreter in New York and I am used to legal documents. I have been a translator for the last 20 years and I am the official translator for a Medical magazine that was recently indexed by Medline.
