I am a native Korean, and I was raised in New York. I am both fluent and literate in English and Korean, and I am ready to go anywhere to fulfill my duty as a translator and interpreter. My rich cultural heritage from Korea has enabled me to understand the need of both English and Korean language, and my experience as a translator has taught me many valuable lessons to broaden my horizon to become a better, effective linguist. I am a translator and interpreter for Korean language projects with a specialization in the arts, entertainment and educational industries. I am also capable of working on projects for general business, marketing and communications related content.

I have very strong writing and research skills which I have particularly developed in law school. I have published my article on an international law journal entitled Comparative Study on Preventing the Illicit Traffic in Cultural Property in Korea and the United States which required a lot of research and translation between English and Korean. In addition to that, I worked as a research assistant and research fellow for my three different professors and drafted an article for each position. The subject of my research projects was mostly on international law and again it required a lot of translations. I am very familiar with legal and political terms in Korean and English since I went to law school in both countries.

I am an experienced Korean interpreter, working since 2016 to present at the New York State Unified Court System, Souther District of New York Federal Court and also working as a contract interpreter at the immigration courts. I worked as a full time Korean translator at the Board of Elections in New York City from 2007 to 2015.
