I am a native speaker of English (US), and fluent/with translation and translation project management experience in: Spanish, French, Portuguese, Yucatecan Mayan, and Haitian Creole. My name is Kyle and I am a native speaker of French and Haitian Creole. Since 2005 I have worked as a French and Haitian Creole interpreter for a special program at a hospital. This position requires me to interpret for a wide range of situations, including: medical checkups, psychiatric evaluations, pharmaceutical visits, legal consultations, and psychiatry sessions. I have also worked as a French translator and interpreter for a law firm since 2007. During my time there, my main duties have been to translate legal documents for asylum seekers before their hearings, and ultimately interpreting at the asylum hearings. Additionally, since April 2008 I have worked at university where I am also responsible for translating legal documents and all documents pertinent to the establishing of an asylum claim as well as to interpret for asylum hearings.
