I obtained my Masters Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Now I am a US citizen. I am an ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) certified proficiency tester in Bengali. I have been performing Bengali to English and English to Bengali interpretation and translation for more than 10 years.

The first and only Certified Ilocano Court interpreter in the nation having passed the Certification Consortium Exam for Court Interpreters given by the Hawaii State Judiciary.

I am very pleased to present myself to you. My name is Daniella and I have been actively translating and interpreting from/into Bulgarian/English as a professional for over 17 years (since 1993). I was raised by my mother who speaks Ilocano and father who is Visayan. Tagalog and Ilocano dialect/language has been part of our daily conversation at home and at school. I remember when me and my siblings have not started attending grade school yet, my parents have trained us to converse in English in our very young age. My interest in language aroused more when I started attending school. I love reading textbooks. This has helped me be very particular with proper words and how we use them.

I have more than 10 years experinces as translator, interpreter. I worked with an American company in Hungary. I had to translate for the workers what their boss tell them to do and vica versa.

I've been a freelance professional linguist for more than 25 years with a broad range of expertise in translation and interpreting. I've been a contract interpreter and translator for the US Department of State for 18 years.

I am seeking opportunities to employ my proficiency in Bulgarian and English languages for bi-directional translation of documents or for simultaneous interpretation. I was born and received my education, including my PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in Bulgaria. Therefore, I consider my Bulgarian language skills excellent. Also in Bulgaria I received my initial training in English for reading and writing of science publications, reading novels and entertainment journals, for oral presentations of research findings at international science conferences, and for adequate communication with other English-speaking counterparts. Over 16 years now I have been living and working in the USA, and have been excelling my English language skills to the level where reciprocal translation between English and Bulgarian has become an effortless, precise and fluent act. My professional career is in the field of biochemistry, biology, medicine, pharmaceuticals and toxicology, and these are my preferred areas for translation or interpretation. There are also other areas in which my terminology is also very strong and I would appreciate the opportunities to discuss them with you.

Though English is my native language, I have been fluent in Russian all my life. I was raised and educated in the U.S., completed my studies in Moscow, where I worked for seven years, and after returning to New York, divide my time between NY and Moscow. I have been a professional translator/interpreter for 20 years, engaged in publising, advertising, East European studies, and the hotel/resort industry. I work with OmegaT as translation memory.

I am an American brought up by native Hungarians. I am fluent in Hungarian, having also lived in Budapest for several years. My entire extended family continues to live there, so my ties to Hungary are very strong. I am also fluent in German, having lived in Germany for years growing up as a child. I am very comfortable in both cultures and I understand Europeans' customs very well. I taught German in public high schools for 13 years. Currently I am a freelance translator, writer and editor. My language skills are excellent.

English is my first language, but Tagalog is my native tongue. I studied German in high school and learned Arabic in college. I am currently studying French and Mandarin/Cantonese.
