I work as a translator and interpreter between English, French, Spanish, and European Portuguese. My practice covers both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for on-site, telephone, and video remote settings. I translate and interpret across diverse sectors including business, energy and environment, finance, marketing, mechanical engineering, social sciences, and telecommunications. My background in civil engineering technology and international development informs my approach to technical documents and community-focused projects. I have handled translation of resettlement action plans, technical specifications, and reports on displacement and child protection. Whether facilitating negotiations, documenting social impact studies, or supporting stakeholder engagement, I ensure precise communication that respects the nuance of each field.

I have over 5 years of experience in translating and interpreting from Persian and Farsi. I have done extensive work in legal, medical, and social settings. My B.A. in translation has enabled me to maintain my level of interest in my native tongue in speaking as well as in writing. My last assignment with the DEA involved a document over 30,000 words.

I am a native Farsi speaker. My expertise in translation of medical documents (I am a medical doctor). My experience in this regard has been translating books (assigments in medical school). I hold a MBA (Master of business administration), but haven't done any translation in this regards (easy texts can be translated).

I am fluent in 3 languages.

I am a native speaker of Farsi and have had 5 years of Arabic studies as a graduate student at Columbia University. Starting in 2006 I also spent 14 months living in Cairo and so am also familiar with Egyptian.

I have been working as an Interpreter, Translator and teacher for over 3 years.

I am a writer and have worked mainly in the advertising and TV business. I can translate, proofread and interpret anything in my working languages and have even lived in Norway for many years, which gives me a lot of extra knowledge about the country and language.
