I hold a Bachelor's degree in Romance languages from New York University and a Master's degree in literary translation from the University of Iowa. For my Master's thesis, I translated Sonia Coutinho's short story collection "Last Summer in Copacabana" from Portuguese into English. I have experience working with diverse literary and journalistic texts on a wide variety of topics. In addition, because I have a degree from a workshop-based program, I have several years' experience editing texts translated by others. I also have experience using WordFast.

My work is diversified, however, I do have much experience in court work and conferences as a whole. I also work as a contractor for the US Dept. of State.

I am an American citizen originally from Brazil. I have a Law degree from a Brazilian university and a Master degree from University of Georgia. As a lawyer I am used to meeting deadlines. Having graduated from a top university, I have very good language skills. I teach Portuguese as a second language and I have been working as a Translator and Interpreter for the past 6 years.
