I have a passion for languages and cultures, and have worked as a full-time translator and interpreter for the last 10 years. My diverse background enabled me to produce outstanding translations in various subjects such as medical researches on hemophilia, mining, food labels, specializing in contracts and documents, and political science. I have worked and lived in the international scene most of my life, in Europe, and presently in the US, I was born in Brazil; it allowed me to develop a proven ability to interact in cross-cultural environments, with excellent understanding of protocol and etiquette, and mainly of the culture applied to the language.

Native speaker of US English, fluent in written and spoken Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. Specializations include film and television, social and life sciences, non-profits, history, political science, education, marketing, and fine arts. Working knowledge of varying registers. Highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with excellent customer service skills and valuable in-country experience. I have translated and edited more than 50,000 words to date in these areas since 2009. My educational background and time spent working, living, and volunteering abroad have created a strong foundation of wide variations of my working languages.

With over 12 years of experience as a linguist, I hold an M.A. in Translation from Kent State University. I am also ATA-Certified and have worked as a Project Coordinator, Terminology Manager, In-House Translator. My freelance career focuses on Software, Medical, Business and Technical Translations.
