I am a knowledgeable and intuitive interpreter. I have years of experience in areas as diverse as Science and Technology, Management and Politics, Legal System and Justice, Biology, Medicine and Education. I have worked for Government Departments, for big corporations and for non-profits. I am equally competent in consecutive as well as simultaneous styles of interpretation.

I am a native Russian speaker who has been studying the English language for over 25 years. I hold two master’s degrees from higher education institutions in both Russia and US. I am trained in translating/ interpreting material, including technical documents, audio and video files, while maintaining the meaning and the integrity of the content. I have strong research, writing, editing, proofreading and analytic skills in both English and Russian. Over the years of my professional experience I have facilitated effective cross-cultural communication in a variety of fields including international affairs (US foreign policy, terrorism, money laundering, drug trafficking), business, finance, environmental policy, healthcare, law, and telecommunications. I have interpreted various conferences and presentations including TEDx Monterey 2012 (interpretation was streamed live worldwide via YouTube), Panetta Lecture Series, and IOC World Conference on Women and Sports. I have extensively worked with translation of business and medical documentation during my employment with Premier Innovations Group (a liquor importing company based in Pittsburgh, PA) and my internship at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics. My vocabulary in English and Russian is superb. I have above average skills when it comes to understanding the context in which language-unique sayings, expressions and idioms are used. I am also conversant with numerous elements of the Russian and American cultures, which provides me with a crystal clear understanding of the context for application of the languages. I have extensively worked with simultaneous and consecutive interpretation equipment (including VMI and portable equipment), Microsoft Office products, and CAT tools. I am also good with the use of standard recording and playback equipment and internet navigation.
