I translate and interpret between Arabic, French, and English with a specialized focus on the social sciences. My work encompasses sensitive intelligence, legal documentation, and political analysis, including projects related to weapons of mass destruction and detainee affairs for government clients. I have served as a team leader managing large groups of linguists, overseeing workflow, quality assurance, and daily performance for national media exploitation centers. In a nutshell, I have a B.A degree in English with major in translation from University of Alexandria, Egypt May 1999, I am a native speaker of Arabic and I live in Washington DC, metro area. I have more than 12 years of professional experience working in bilingual positions in many countries as well as a freelancer translating projects in various fields including medical, legal, publications, financial and others.

I currently work in counterterrorism, so I specialize in translating materials particularly related to explosives and military fields.

I am fluent in both Arabic and English, having lived in the United States, United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and the Palestinian Territories. My experience in translation has included work for a newspaper (The Palestine Times) and one of the largest investment companies in the Middle East. I worked as an interpreter, editor, translator, and proofreader at Akhbar Elyoum Publishing House in Egypt for two years. I worked as English and Arabic teacher, tour guide, and a translator for some offices and companies. I worked as a bilingual customer service representative for two years. I have worked for eight years in interpretation, translation, editing, proofreading, writing and journalism. Currently, I have my own business and still working as a freelancer and perform projects on my own or with my staff.

My family is Egyptian, I've been to Egypt every summer of my life. I went to a school called the Islamic Saudi Academy where we were taught the Saudi Arabian curriculum for Arabic studies and Islamic studies (also in Arabic). My family speaks Arabic all the time. I worked as a Teaching Assistant and did translation work for my Arabic professor in college at the Johns Hopkins University.
