I have served as a court-approved interpreter for the U.S. Department of State and maintain active membership in the American Translators Association. I am an American citizen originally from Brazil. I have a Law degree from a Brazilian university and a Master degree from University of Georgia. As a lawyer I am used to meeting deadlines. Having graduated from a top university, I have very good language skills. I teach Portuguese as a second language and I have been working as a Translator and Interpreter for the past 6 years.
I am proficient in several different languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, Yiddish, Italian, French, and German. Since 2009, I have received a substantial amount of educational and professional training and experience as both a medical and a court interpreter. Spanish is my main working language, however I also have experience interpreting to and from Brazilian Portuguese. At the end of 2015, I became a court certified interpreter and immediately began working as a Spanish staff interpreter at a courthouse. Prior to this, I worked as a Spanish and Portuguese Medical Interpreter at multiple healthcare facilities. In addition to becoming a Spanish Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI) and a Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CHI) in 2011, I also obtained Certificates of Competency in Healthcare Interpreting (Italian, French) and Language Interpreting (Portuguese).
