I hold a Two Year Degree in Writing and Literature from BMCC- Borough of Manhattan Community College and attended 24 credits of a Literature Degree from a Brazilian University. I\'ve been working with Brazilian students at new York Film Academy for the last 3 years. My main strength is literature translating, but I\'m experienced in transcribing, translating legal documents (birth certificates and school transcripts) and telephone interpreting.

I have several years experience translating documents from a wide variety of fields. I am strongest working from Spanish into English, in the medical and legal fields. I have an excellent grasp of idiomatic English and Spanish as well as superb Grammar skills.

I have been working in all kind of areas as a free lancer for the past 12 years. I am dedicated and very savvy, reliable and very accurate in everything I do.

As a native speaker of Brazilian Portuguese, I have a deep understanding of the Portuguese language as it may be interpreted in English, French and Portuguese. I have also worked extensively translating Portuguese text into English via the interpretation of movie scripts from English to Portuguese. I am also fluent in French, as my mother is a native of France (which gave me the opportunity to live there for quite a large number of years). I am also capable of translating French in any of the other languages mentioned above. I graduated with a Minor in Spanish, which gave me a great deal of experience studying spanish literature and engaging in creative writing and translation. I have often been told that I am able to (ironically) write best in Spanish.

Proficient in legal Consecutive Interpretation. Corps Diplomatique Associates: I have been interpreting Family Court cases, immigration cases and insurance claims from English to/from Portuguese (familiar with legal terminology and child custody and visitation vocabulary). Proficient in Financial translation. As a freelance translator for the International Monetary Fund, I have translated Regional Economic Outlook reports on Sub-Saharan Africa from English language into Continental Portuguese.

I am a USA citizen but I earned my degree in Brazil where I completed over 630 hours of conference interpretation techniques and acquired excellent note-taking and research technique. I also have extensive vocabulary in English and Portuguese languages as well as an intimate familiarity with both cultures.

I am an excellent medical/legal Russian interpreter. I am very familiar with cultural differences of all my languages and I know how to interpret idiomatically correctly and not just mechanically like many interpreters do.
