I have been a registered nurse for 20 years and I have been translating for 5 years. I have an MA in French and German and I have translated in a wide variety of disciplines. I also have extensive editing experience.

I have experience in various subjects, but my background makes me especially qualified for any texts related to the culinary arts, psychology (especially neuroscience) and general medical texts, as well as marketing texts. I also have an M.A. in German translation from Kent State University.

I am a native speaker of Romanian and licensed translator, by the Romanian Ministry of Justice, for English and German. I have a BA in English and German (Translator and Interpreter) in the fields of Business Administration and Commerce. I also have a MBA in Mamagement. I began my carreer as translator in 2000 (during my first year at the university) and never stopped since. I am highly qualified in the areas of Law, Business and Finance, my experience being accumulated mostly in these areas. I have worked with several translation offices in Romania, before moving to America, a couple of months ago. I am also highly proficient in the areas of computer software (MS Office, HTML and Desktop publishing)

Being Slovene and having studied Slavic Studies and American Studies in Berlin, Germany (B.A., at Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin), I am fluent in written and spoken English, German, Slovene, and Bosnian/ Croatian/ Serbian (former "Serbocroatian"). In addition, I am able to translate and interpret from and into the above listed languages (with Slovene and English as best target languages), can proofread texts written in Slovene, teach English (as a foreign language), and am familiar with the histories and cultures of the USA, Germany, Middle Europe, and of the Balkans (I also lived in all of these areas for extended periods of time).

I have a very strong educational and cultural background in my source language. I earned a B.A. in German and graduated with honors and distinction. My written communication skills are exemplary, my computer skills are excellent, and my work ethic is strong. I have experience in the banking industry, but my wide array of interests has made me knowledgeable in many subjects. My latest work includes educational, military, and legal documents.

I have translated IT/software documents, business contracts, financial newsletters, marketing material for Property websites, a telecom website and a large E-learning project for a software company from German to English. I can also translate from Telugu to English (language pair not listed in this form).

I have previously translated legal documents as well as website content for real estate developers and resorts.

During the past twenty years as a translator, interpreter, proofreader and voice over specialist,I have worked on many different projects. Therefore I have experience in a variety of fields. I am available on short notice.

Strong academic background, PhD. Translated literature texts from Indonesian into German (Indonesian short stories, published), copy wrote and translated the content of our project website from German into Indonesian, translated daily briefings from German into English while working as a marketing researcher, co-edited a volume on Indonesia's democratization in English (which included writing an academic article in English as well as proofreading and translating other author's papers), wrote my PhD thesis in English, etc.
