I speak, write, and translate between English and Arabic. I worked in Damascus Radio in Syria translating newspapers documents from Arabic to English. Also I taught children and adults Arabic in the USA.

I was born in Cairo,Egypt. So my native language is Arabic. I studied in a French school in Cairo called College De La Salle. I studied the French language for 13 years. Also I studied Math and sciences in French. In school I studied the English language for 9 years. In the university, I studied Medicine and Surgery in English and graduated with MD Degree. So I am very good in any subject related to the Medical field, Pharmacy, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Genetics...in English, French and Arabic.

In the past 23 years, I worked as a volunteer interpreter on many court cases, many speeches and conferences for churches as a seminar and consecutive interpreter. Also as a translator, I worked on translating several booklets, articles, study courses and a few books.

I am fluent in Arabic, Kurdish and Assyrian and proficient in Turkish and English.

I am first and foremost an academician with Ph.D.s in History and Political Science, specializing in the Middle East. I teach at college and university (undergraduate) levels (for some 15 years now). I have worked as a journalist for more than 2 decades. I have done freelance translation since 1980 in Armenian, Arabic, and Turkish. I also do research in Classical Armenian and Ottoman Turkish. I am also a California Certified Real Estate Broker and a Certified Notary Signing Agent. For the past 5 years I have been involved in many translation/linguistic projects for the USA Federal Government in Washington DC and Overseas.

I have special interest in translating material from a variety of disciplines including environment, engineering, sports, art, and science. I am an Arabic interpreter, with more than 10 years of experience. My expertise includes US Army mission support, HHS mission support, immigration courts, 911 medical calls.

As an Iraqi Kurdish citizen, I consider Kurdish sorani and Arabic my native languages as I practiced both languages in my studies and my daily life. Translation was always my interest and later on became part of all my jobs as an engineer or as a teacher. I work as a full time translator since 2003. I have practiced different translation projects; technical, medical, political and general.
