My academic background includes an M.A. in Spanish Literature and an M.A. in Individualized Study with a major in Health Anthropology. With field work in Brazil, five years of residence and study there, and attendance, I bring deep cultural and linguistic insight to my practice. I provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation via telephone and video remote settings, working from English, French, and Brazilian Portuguese into Spanish. My career spans national and international public health, law enforcement, and development sectors, serving U.S. governmental agencies, private institutions, and global organizations.

A highly skilled editor, writer and social science researcher, I have worked in Brazil, the United States and other countries for nonprofit organizations. My experience includes interviewing and being interviewed in Portuguese, translating and editing books in Portuguese, writing articles in Portuguese for a Brazilian publication, and working as a contract interpreter and lecturer in Brazil and the United States for the U.S. State Department. In all my work I am quick but meticulous, efficient and very reliable, accustomed to working independently or with a team, managing projects, juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
