I am a professionally trained linguist in Russian interpretation and translation. I am certified by North Carolina court system as court interpreter. I have been working in the field for 17 years performing all kinds of translation and interpretation. I work in medical, legal and business field as well as the specialty areas. I translate documents and perform telephone and consecutive interpretation as well. I am also registered with National Database of Court Interpreters for the Federal Courts.

Mes principaux atouts se situent dans le domaine des traductions écrites. J'ai traduit des documents juridiques, techniques et financiers du français vers l'espagnol et vice versa. J'ai également traduit des documents du russe vers l'espagnol.

9 ans d'expérience dans le domaine de la traduction de conférence m'ont permis d'être flexible en matière de sujets et de délais. Cependant, mes compétences principales incluent : pétrole et gaz (amont), finance et approvisionnement, politique et gouvernance, télécommunications, produits pharmaceutiques, cyclisme, et d'autres. Doté d'excellentes compétences organisationnelles, de gestion du temps et de mobilité, je peux travailler efficacement sous pression et respecter les délais. J'ai une réaction naturellement rapide, ce qui fait de moi un interprète simultané solide, l'interprétation consécutive étant mon deuxième choix préféré.

I enjoy being a linguist. I have worked as a freelance translator since 2005. I translated different kinds of documentation, advertisement brochures, articles, manuals, etc. for private persons and governmental organizations.

I was born in the Ukraine and moved to the US in 1997. I can speak, read and write in Russian and Ukrainian at native level. I graduated from a high school in Ukraine, and completed several university-level courses there, in both Russian and Ukrainian. I am a US Citizen and hold a BS in accounting from a US university. I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies degree at Duke University, with tentative graduation date of December 2008. I have over seven years of experience working in accounting, most recently in compliance audit, where I gained experience doing research and interacting with people of all occupations and backgrounds. I currently live in Durham, NC but will be relocating to the New York state soon. After several accounting jobs over the last seven years, I realized that accounting might not necessarily be my calling. I enjoy reading, writing, and doing research, and believe that the skills that I have acquired at my job, along with my language skills, make me a very good translator.
