I am a native of Germany who has lived in the United States for over 14 years. In Germany, I was a teacher of German and Biology. Because of my American husband's background as a lawyer, I tend to translate legal documents and commercial content. I am also available at any time for general subjects.
Being Slovene and having studied Slavic Studies and American Studies in Berlin, Germany (B.A., at Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin), I am fluent in written and spoken English, German, Slovene, and Bosnian/ Croatian/ Serbian (former "Serbocroatian"). In addition, I am able to translate and interpret from and into the above listed languages (with Slovene and English as best target languages), can proofread texts written in Slovene, teach English (as a foreign language), and am familiar with the histories and cultures of the USA, Germany, Middle Europe, and of the Balkans (I also lived in all of these areas for extended periods of time).

I have Ph.D. in Hebrew and Semitic Studies. My professional experience includes, among others, more than 25 years as a professor at college levels (Israel, Germany, United States), Director of the Haifa Bureau of the Academy of the Hebrew Language, and Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa (terminology, dictionaries, coining new Hebrew words), and translation of works (classical and modern literary works, business and personal documents, and others).
I do speak fluent German,Russian,Uzbek and English is basic. I do have a strong educational background and work experience related to my education. I am an American brought up by native Hungarians. I am fluent in Hungarian, having also lived in Budapest for several years. My entire extended family continues to live there, so my ties to Hungary are very strong. I am also fluent in German, having lived in Germany for years growing up as a child. I am very comfortable in both cultures and I understand Europeans' customs very well. I taught German in public high schools for 13 years. Currently I am a freelance translator, writer and editor. My language skills are excellent.

Strong academic background, PhD. Translated literature texts from Indonesian into German (Indonesian short stories, published), copy wrote and translated the content of our project website from German into Indonesian, translated daily briefings from German into English while working as a marketing researcher, co-edited a volume on Indonesia's democratization in English (which included writing an academic article in English as well as proofreading and translating other author's papers), wrote my PhD thesis in English, etc.
