I have been a Technical Writer for 9 years, working at various high-tech companies in Austin, Texas. I thus have background in software, hardware, as well as quality assurance. I also have experience in designing basic websites, allowing me to learn skills and terminology in that field too. I am a native German speaker, but also have basic knowledge of Afrikaans and Dutch.

I am an American brought up by native Hungarians. I am fluent in Hungarian, having also lived in Budapest for several years. My entire extended family continues to live there, so my ties to Hungary are very strong. I am also fluent in German, having lived in Germany for years growing up as a child. I am very comfortable in both cultures and I understand Europeans' customs very well. I taught German in public high schools for 13 years. Currently I am a freelance translator, writer and editor.
