I've come to learn that disabilties are not limited to native English-speaking students. For two years, I have worked for an Education Services organization that serves numerous native Spanish-speaking children and families. We specialize in teaching students with severe disabilities, and I've often done translating and interpreting projects so that families can get help for their children, even if they speak minimal English.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as 6 years of combined experience as an intake coordinator from two major Psychiatric facilities. During this time I also facilitated countless translation and interpretation services between Spanish speaking patients, their families and the hospital staff.
