I translated the N-400, or U.S. citizenship application into Spanish and conducted the final review for applicants submitting their applications to the government for World Relief. I have also translated for a Medical Clinic, taking a call and translating a medical prescription, verbally, into Spanish.
In today’s cross-cultural world, I believe accurate translation is imperative. Translating well involves more than merely translating words, it effectively means transmitting ideas. Effective communication is a two-way street that involves articulate, nuanced expression from one party to the other in a way that makes sense to the other.

When I immigrated to the United States at the age of fifteen I did not speak any other language but Serbian, my mother tongue.
