I have many years of experience in the translation - interpreting business.

Being Slovene and having studied Slavic Studies and American Studies in Berlin, Germany (B.A., at Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin), I am fluent in written and spoken English, German, Slovene, and Bosnian/ Croatian/ Serbian (former "Serbocroatian"). In addition, I am able to translate and interpret from and into the above listed languages (with Slovene and English as best target languages), can proofread texts written in Slovene, teach English (as a foreign language), and am familiar with the histories and cultures of the USA, Germany, Middle Europe, and of the Balkans (I also lived in all of these areas for extended periods of time).

I worked on a voluntary basis as a translator for immigrants from Hungaria and Romania. I did this for less than a year, than I moved with my husband to the US.

I do speak fluent German,Russian,Uzbek and English is basic. I do have a strong educational background and work experience related to my education. Strong academic background, PhD. Translated literature texts from Indonesian into German (Indonesian short stories, published), copy wrote and translated the content of our project website from German into Indonesian, translated daily briefings from German into English while working as a marketing researcher, co-edited a volume on Indonesia's democratization in English (which included writing an academic article in English as well as proofreading and translating other author's papers), wrote my PhD thesis in English, etc.
