I am a professional French to English translator and have been working in the industry for eight years. I'm a certified MemoQ Trainer and also work SDL Studio 2014. I work in conjunction with an editor who has three years in translation. I specialize in Information Technology and Legal translation but can also translate medical documents. I am an Active member of the American Translators Association and the Midwest Association of Translators and Interpreters.

I am a published writer, poet, professional translator, interpreter,journalist and language teacher. I have studied Social Sciences and Philosophy in the US and the UK. Effective communication is a two-way street that involves articulate, nuanced expression from one party to the other in a way that makes sense to the other.

Born and raised in Spain I am fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Galician and English. I also have a deep cultural knowledge which aids in the translation process. The end result is a professional and personalized product.

When I immigrated to the United States at the age of fifteen I did not speak any other language but Serbian, my mother tongue. Within two years of living in the United States, I was able to learn and become fluent in both English and Spanish and am able to translate between the three languages paired in any way. I have a passion and a talent for learning foreign languages and I have used my talent continuously at my previous jobs to translate/interpret for the upper management in negotiating business deals on a global scale. Spanish Medical Writer, English to Spanish Medical Translator

I am a professional Spanish to English translator based in the Chicago area with a graduate degree in International Development. After completing my undergraduate degree in Spanish Language and Culture, I lived and worked in Latin America for three years, which gave me an in-depth understanding of the cultural and social background for the documents that I translate. Recent projects include a report on climate change and water management, websites for international corporations in Chile and legal documents for a US-based Latino NGO.

I am very careful with my translations, always considering the best option given the client needs and respecting their voice/message. I believe in providing a communication bridge when doing interpretation, as well as in delivering the best interpretation possible during conferences, in medical and legal settings by providing the most accurate rendition.

I grew up speaking both English and Spanish and developed a passion for both of the languages. I have obtained my Bachelors degree in Translation and Interpretation from Hunter College in New York City.
