I am a professional French to English translator and have been working in the industry for eight years. I'm a certified MemoQ Trainer and also work SDL Studio 2014. I work in conjunction with an editor who has three years in translation. I specialize in Information Technology and Legal translation but can also translate medical documents. I am an Active member of the American Translators Association and the Midwest Association of Translators and Interpreters.

I am a published writer, poet, professional translator, interpreter,journalist and language teacher. I have studied Social Sciences and Philosophy in the US and the UK. I have completed my studies in my native Languages: Haitian-Creole and French. I live between Chicago, IL and Florida. I have completed studies in Journalism and Communication. I translated the N-400, or U.S. citizenship application into Spanish and conducted the final review for applicants submitting their applications to the government for World Relief. I have also translated for a Medical Clinic, taking a call and translating a medical prescription, verbally, into Spanish. In today’s cross-cultural world, I believe accurate translation is imperative. Translating well involves more than merely translating words, it effectively means transmitting ideas. Effective communication is a two-way street that involves articulate, nuanced expression from one party to the other in a way that makes sense to the other.

Born and raised in Spain I am fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Galician and English. I also have a deep cultural knowledge which aids in the translation process. The end result is a professional and personalized product.

When I immigrated to the United States at the age of fifteen I did not speak any other language but Serbian, my mother tongue. Within two years of living in the United States, I was able to learn and become fluent in both English and Spanish and am able to translate between the three languages paired in any way. I have a passion and a talent for learning foreign languages and I have used my talent continuously at my previous jobs to translate/interpret for the upper management in negotiating business deals on a global scale. I am a professional Spanish to English translator based in the Chicago area with a graduate degree in International Development. I am a English to French translator and do have several years of work experience in the translation industry. Over this time, I have gained experience completing projects for many different industries including marketing, e-learning, corporate communication, IT, technical, education and general. I also have a certification in machine translation post editing (MTPE). I can provide transcription, transcreation and subtitling services. I believe that strong work ethics is important, and I always ensure the highest quality and attention to details on every project. As such, I only work towards my native language, French and I can also translate documents from Spanish to French. I have always loved languages and cultures, and this is reflected on my resume. Not only do I have a Master’s degree in translation, but I have made sure that I spend time living and working abroad in English and Spanish speaking countries to improve my language skills.
