I am a French native, completely fluent in English and German and I have lots of experience as a freelance translator/proofreader.

I am about to graduate from American University with a minor in German, and wish to use my academic experience translating German in the classroom and apply it to real world situations.

I have been providing interpretation and translation services since 1995. I am also the owner of a language school for children that teaches Spanish, French and Italian to over 120 students per year.

Professionally trained Spanish, French and Haitian Croole interpreter, I specialize in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation and sight translation for public and private meetings. My practice spans business, legal, marketing, medical, and social science sectors, supported by an ACTFL Oral Proficiency rating of Advanced High in French and a background as a licensed attorney. I hold Public Trust Moderate Risk Clearance from the U.S. Department of State and am eligible for French interpreter certification through the Maryland State Courts and the Consortium for State Court Interpreter Certification. My experience includes facilitating high-level diplomatic visits, providing legal and medical interpretation in hospital and court settings, and supporting community programs across diverse fields.

Translating is one of my longtime passions, which I was trained for both in France and in the United States. Born and raised in France, but having majored in English and Translation, I have acquired enough knowledge of both cultures and languages to become a very accurate translator. Experienced in the areas of educational interpretation for special education services, dealing with assessment and psychological evaluation. Also experienced with the Department of Homeland Security cases in the areas of telephone interpreting and monitoring asylum and refugee cases in detention centers(Haitian Creole<>English; French<>English. Immigration Court with Recently edited a Haitian Creole Phrasebook containing vocabulary related to the relief effort, medical terminology(McGraw-Hill, September 2010). Ability to edit and proofread employee manuals and academic materials.

I am billingual in Greek and English and maintain proficiency levels in Spanish and French. I have been working with languages since 2008. I started my carreer as a magazine and a website article writer, publishing news reports, interviews and opinion pieces both in Greek and in English. At the same period, my studies in the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Media in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, provided me with the opportunity to take classes in Greek, English and French. Furthermore, for the past 7 years I have been running my own Language School and working as an English teacher to both young and adult learners.
