I have worked as a translator since 2005, with certifications in French to English translation and Spanish to English translation from New York University. Prior to entering this industry, I was a software professional for over 10 years, with hands-on experience in software programming (PHP), QA, and technical writing.

I am an Italian native speaker with 8 years of experience in teaching and translating Italian and Spanish into English.

I am a native English speaker in Tucson, AZ certified in English / Spanish translation / interpretation with credentials from Pima Community College. I have experience in the legal, medical and commercial translation. My experiences in the legal field have included translations of divorce documents, birth certificates and court transcripts. Unlike many translators, I translate meaning and not words so that your finished translation flows as if it were written in the target language. I will work hard to satisfy your translation needs.

I have been translating and interpreting for more than 10 years. I hold a General Translator's Certificate from the State of Iowa (2007). I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Master\\'s in Financial Administration, actually working on MBA with the University of Phoenix (on line), with 16+ years experience in Production/Manufacturing and General Management.

I currently translate micro-loan profiles for a company and take on other freelance work in my specialty areas, which are: general document translation, news, and education. My linguistic experience developed through years of teaching Spanish at Northwestern University, The University of Illinois at Chicago, and Boston College, coupled with my training in Spanish literature and creative writing, make translating the perfect fit for me. Because I have become passionate about translating I am switching from full-time teaching to full-time translating.

I have more than twelve years experience working in the public school system where I have refined my skills and received many trainings in translating, interpreting, transcribing and proofreading written documents in English and Spanish. I have interpreted for parent conferences and Special Education evaluations and translated and proofread written documents from student's writing, report cards, Individual Education Plans (IEP's) and parent information letters. I also have experience translating medical reports and health evaluations for the school nurse. For three years I volunteered on a as needed basis interpreting and/or translating for immigration, worker's compensation applicants.

I am especially experienced in written translations from Korean into English or English into Korean.

I am a court-certified Spanish interpreter and have several years of interpreting in the legal field. I have a Bachelors Degree in Spanish Translation and Interpretation.
