I work as a consecutively trained interpreter and translator between English, European Portuguese, and Spanish. My practice focuses on legal proceedings, where I support depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and client meetings through on-site, telephone, and video remote modalities. I also handle document translation for legal matters across these language pairs. My approach is grounded in a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a specialized Certificate in Community Interpreting with a focus on legal and medical contexts. As a member of the American Translation Association and the National Judicial Interpreters Association, I bring precise linguistic skills and cultural insight to every assignment, ensuring clear communication for all parties involved.

I have over 20 years of experience translating and interpreting in several different areas. My educational background is translation and interpreting studies. I have just completed my MA in Translation Studies (summer 2007)and am in the PhD program of Comparative Literature at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Portuguese Interpreter and Translator. I have worked as a sub-contractor for the Trial court of Massachusetts as a Portuguese Interpreter since 2001. I have worked for various agencies throughout the country helping their clients with their LEP customers in the Massachusetts area. I have worked as a Medical Interpreter for the Norwood Hospital during the summer of 2005. I am a candidate for a Professional Certificate in translation at the School of Continuing Education of the New York University.

I am fluent in both Portuguese (Brazilian) and English. I am originally from Brazil and have been here for approximately twenty years. Although I went to college in Brazil, I graduated in Business Management in the University of Massachusetts - Boston.

The last 8 years I have been working for the U.S. government translating legal documents and audio from Spanish, Portuguese and Russian into English. I also traveled abroad for interpreting assignments in Portuguese speaking countries. In the private sector I have approximately 10 years experience in the Medical /Pharmaceutical field translating medical studies, instructional booklets, and related scientific papers.
