I graduated in the Netherlands from the Rijkspedagogische Akademie with a degree in teaching (in Dutch). When I moved to the US in 1978 I completed my Registered Nurse degree (in English). I have been translating between these two languages since I was 13 years old.

I have worked as a Spanish translator since 2012. In 2014, I obtained my certification as a medical interpreter. I have been doing both translation and interpreting since then, with an emphasis on the medical area, but a constant desire to learn and expand into other areas. I am specialized in scientific, marketing, medical, pharmaceutical, and legal translations. I am able to interpret in the consecutive mode and provide sight translation if needed and also provide Spanish to English document translation. I communicate with healthcare providers to schedule and assign interpreters to appointments and create and conduct classes and training materials for healthcare providers on how to work with interpreters. In addition, I translate documents used in healthcare facilities from English into Spanish.
