I have over 5 years of experience working with a variety of texts and subject matters. My love of literature is what initially brought me into the world of translation and this love and respect for the clarity of the written word is what continues to drive me in this work. One of my main strengths lies in my belief that a translation must retain the meaning of the original text but must also sound natural in the target language and can therefore differ slightly in word choice and sentence structure.

I speak, write, and translate between English and Arabic. I worked in Damascus Radio in Syria translating newspapers documents from Arabic to English. Also I taught children and adults Arabic in the USA.

During my studies I also had the experience in translation and interpretation at various exhibitions in addition to my individual freelance translation tasks.
