Essentially, I see myself as someone who is continually learning and this is from where I draw my strength as a linguist. I was born in a French and Haitian Creole speaking country. While growing up and at school, I learned French; at home however, my family had spoken both French and Creole. Later, at the age of nine, I began to learn the English language.
